Slavgorod Regional Museum of History and Local Studies
The Slavgorod District Museum of History and Local Lore was founded in 2014 in the city of Slavgorod. It opened to visitors in 2015. It is located in a specially constructed building. The total exhibition area is 309.9 m2. The permanent exhibition of the museum is in the process of formation. The following exhibition halls operate: exhibition, "Archaeology and Nature", "Ethnography", "Establishment of Soviet power in the Propoiskaya volost of the Bykhov district. The region in the 1920s - 1930s. Propoisky district during the Great Patriotic War", "Slavgorod district as part of the BSSR, 1960s - 1991. Development of the district at the present stage." Particularly interesting and valuable exhibits that attract the attention of visitors are decorative and applied art items (towels, bedspreads, tablecloths, patterned quilts), traditional household items, pottery, ceramic tiles with masters' marks, coins of the Russian Empire, war and labor veterans' awards, badges, etc.
MUSEUM COLLECTIONS
The museum's collections include 2,310 exhibits of the main collection, which include the following collections: ethnographic and everyday life items, phaleristics, documents, graphics, sculpture, decorative and applied art, numismatics, archeology, clothing, painting, etc.
